The American Bamboo Society is evaluating and updating their approval process for Commercial Memberships and expects to finalize a formal process at the Annual Board Meeting in October.

 One incentive  for this effort is to ensure compatibility with the ABS Mission Statement:

    “The American Bamboo Society is dedicated to expanding the understanding, appreciation, and utilization of bamboo. Through research, advocacy, education, and community outreach, the Society promotes the benefits of bamboo as a renewable and sustainable resource in horticulture, agriculture, art and industry.”

In the meantime, applicants who would like to become commercial members are encouraged to join first as an individual member at bamboo.org/amember
