2008 Bamboo Construction Workshop in Guatemala. This practical workshop will be held between the 8th and 12th of December in San Marcos La Laguna, on Guatemala's famed Lake Atitlan. The course features all you need to know build your first bamboo house, right from planting your own bamboo, through to house design, bamboo joinery, preservation techniques and combining bamboo with other materials. 2009 Bamboo Construction Workshop featuring Simon Velez and Marcelo Villegas, sponsored by Robert Saporito of Tropical Bamboo Nursery and Will Pierson of Koolbamboo. This workshop will be held between the 9th and 14th of March, 2009 in Palm Beach County at Tropical Bamboo Nursery in Loxahatchee, Florida. Only the second course offered in the U.S., this is a unique opportunity to interact directly with world renowned Architect Simon Velez and Author/Builder Marcelo Villegas.
